Specialty
Acer Platanoides, Farlake's Green
On top of the specialty of our business, the Acer Platonoides, we are proud to present our own selection, the Acer Platanoides "Farlake's Green". We selected the Farlake's Green about twenty years ago from the real seedling. The biggest advantage of the Farlake's Green is the fact that is has been hardened off to cold. As a result waste is negligible. Some more characteristics of this tree are the nice way in which the crown in shaped as well as the straight growth. When the tree starts coming out and the leaves start budding one can hardly notice any difference between it and the Acer Platanoides.
Acer Platanoides, 'Green Pillar'
At the present we are paying special attention to a new variety of the type Acer platanoides ‘Green Pillar’. Distinctive of this tree is its slow growth and compact crown. Also the Acer platanoides ‘Columnare’. When the trees are coming out in the spring one can notice a change from a yellowish green to a light or pale green colour. It goes without saying that when it comes to our specialty we pay extra close attention to its quality.
| In our range we also have the Acer Campestre or "Green Collum". One of its biggest advantages is that is hardly susceptible to mildew. In the autumn it has a red brownish colour. The tree is very suitable for locations that are somewhat narrow. | ||
